We’re Nick and Liam, the muddy boots and checked theatre tickets behind Westcountry Weekender.
Nick was born in Devon, whilst Liam grew up in the Midlands. In 2015 after a gap year travelling the world we decided to move to Devon. We’re passionate about the local area – we’ve started a business here and believe it’s a great place to work and an even better place to live.
In 2015 we converted our vehicle into a campervan and whenever we can we like to explore this beautiful region of the UK. We set up Westcountry Weekender to share our love of the local area and to celebrate the locations, businesses and events that make the West Country great.
Nick grew up in south Devon and with a Dorset dad and Somerset mum, he’s about as West Country as you can be. He now works in marketing and copywriting and is also the author of four books.
Nick loves walking the coastal paths of Devon. He’s also the resident theatre lover and literature buff. Nick undertakes freelance copywriting and marketing work. If you’re interested in working with him please get in touch, or find out more.
Liam is a baker and cake designer. He’s also a web developer and a dab hand at graphic design. Liam’s the more artistic and loves to paint in his free time. He’s also a big live music fan and the team foodie.
Together Nick and Liam love to travel and it’s this passion for exploration and making the most of time off work that’s the driving force behind Westcountry Weekender.
